This RBC single-acting spherical plain bearing inner ring is unsealed and is suitable for use as a replacement ring for use with a corresponding RBC single-acting-style outer ring. This spherical plain bearing ring supports heavy radial and single-direction thrust loads for applications that provide high misalignment adjustment. The race is made of 52100 steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads and is heat-treated to Rockwell C-scale 57 hardness. Lubrication grooves and holes in the race direct grease into the bearing. This spherical plain bearing ring has an open configuration for lubrication in place and is intended for use in pivoting, high load bearing applications such as kingpin applications in farm machinery.Plain bearings provide low-friction sliding contact for relative motion between parts of a machine.
