Created by J.A. Beagley of Sibly, IL in 1890. This variety produces extremely high yields of corn, with very large, heavy ears at 11-12", and creamy white kernels. Does well on poor soils, and has a tight husk that resists corn ear worms. We have noticed a sweet flavor chewing on this corn in its dry stage, this leads us to believe it would be a fine roaster.
